We are very delighted that you have shown interest in our enterprise. Data protection is of a particularly high priority for the management of the Simovative GmbH. The use of the Internet pages of the Simovative GmbH is possible without any indication of personal data; however, if a data subject wants to use special enterprise services via our website, processing of personal data could become necessary. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no statutory basis for such processing, we generally obtain consent from the data subject.
The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with the country-specific data protection regulations applicable to the Simovative GmbH. Rather, this information is needed to (1) deliver the content of our website correctly, (2) optimize the content of our website as well as its advertisement, (3) ensure the long-term viability of our information technology systems and website technology, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack. Therefore, the Simovative GmbH analyzes anonymously collected data and information statistically, with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of our enterprise, and to ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data we process. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal data provided by a data subject.

6. Routine erasure and blocking of personal data
The data controller shall process and store the personal data of the data subject only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as far as this is granted by the European legislator or other legislators in laws or regulations to which the controller is subject to. If the storage purpose is not applicable, or if a storage period prescribed by the European legislator or another competent legislator expires, the personal data are routinely blocked or erased in accordance with legal requirements.

8. Legal basis for the processing
Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. This applies to the registration for the eduFutureDays as well as allowing functional cookies. All further data (such as server logs) are processed under the legal basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. The controller is legitimate interest is to guaranty the availability of our service as well as a high security standard.

9. Period for which the personal data will be stored
Log data will be kept for 7 days. Mandatory registration data will be kept up to 3 years after the eduFutureDays event. Non-mandatory registration data will be kept up to 2 months after the eduFutureDays event.

10. Existence of automated decision-making
As a responsible company, we do not use automatic decision-making or profiling.

11. Web Analysis Matomo
For statistical purposes we use “Matomo” (formerly “Piwik”) on this website. Matomo is an open source web analysis tool. Matomo does not transfer any data to servers outside of our control. Matomo uses so-called “cookies”. Cookies are text files that are saved on your computer and enable the Simovative GmbH to analyse how its website is used. The information provided by the cookie is transferred to the Simovative GmbH server and saved there, to enable us to analyse user behaviour. Your IP address will be immediately anonymised; users are thus anonymous. The information generated by the cookie regarding how you use the website will not be passed on to third parties. Simovative GmbH sees this analysis as an integral part of its online service. This information helps to consistently improve the website and optimise it according to user needs. 2. Affected data
The eduFutureDays are held via the „Streamboxy“ service. This concerns the organization of online meetings, the broadcasting and recording of talks as well as the administration and authorization of participants.
Recordings of the event will be stored for further reference. For better usability of the contributions, an automated transcription of the talks is made.
Votings are carried out to record the opinions of the participants. The results are given as a whole, so that a single vote can’t be linked to a specific participant.
Data of the following categories are processed:

  • Basic participant data (e.g. name and email-address)
  • Additional participant data (e.g. Country, Business Area)
  • Audio and video data
  • Chat entries
  • Voting results
  • meta data of meetings (e.g. date, time)
  • server logs (e.g. Webbrowser, IP-Adresse)

3. Legal basis
The legal basis for the data processing regarding the participation and execution of the event is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. The legal basis for log data is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. That data is not used to draw conclusions about your person. Entering additional participant data is not mandatory. The legal basis is a consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. Further information is sent after the end of the event on the legal basis of consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. a lit. a) GDPR. You can revoke this consent at any time.

4. Recipients
All participants of the eduFutureDays are recipients of the transmitted audio and video streams. The controller uses all other data exclusively internally for purpose of organization of the event and will not share them. The provider of “Streamboxy” necessarily obtains knowledge of the data mentioned above insofar as this falls under the context of the data processing contract.
Data processing outside the European Union
The „Streamboxy“ service is operated in data centres of Microsoft Azure Europe. As a matter of principle, processing takes places exclusively in Germany. Processing outside the EU does not take place.

5. Data retention
Basic participant data, as well as audio and video recordings will be kept up to 3 years after the event. Log data will be kept for 7 days after the event. All other data will be kept up to 2 months after the event.
